Anthony is passionate about increasing investment in innovation and capability as a pathway to future regional growth and success. He has around 20 years experience in business and community development and has a particular focus on environmental protection and economic development. He has been a member of ToiEDA for 12 years, and was a member of Bay of Connections, the Bay of Plenty Regional Economic Development Partnership for 8 years.

A former Chair of the East Coast Bay of Plenty Conservation Board, Anthony has also been an RMA Commissioner for the last 7 years. Anthony has been the Chair of Tuhono (The Maori Affiliation Service) for 6 years and currently he works as a Contractor to the Department of Conservation and Researcher for Ngati Rangitihi's Treaty Settlement.
