Awhina is our Kaihautū Ōhanga Māori and brings with her a wealth of knowledge in the Māori sector With strengths in strategic project management, business development and economic development, she has worked for various organisations from start ups to charitable trusts and corporate entities In addition to her role as Kaihautū she is the Managing director of August August Ltd trading as Māoriworks and General Manager of Te Puna i Rangiriri Trust.

To achieve Toi Kai Rawa objectives, Awhina works with teams across sectors to achieve mutually agreed outcomes that are aligned to the regional impact strategy action plans.

As Toi Kai Rawa grows, so too will the Toi Kai Rawa operational team and the impact towards advancing the prosperity of Māori across the wider Bay of Plenty for the benefit of our region and for Aotearoa, New Zealand
