Tia is born and bred in Rotorua. She comes with an extensive background in Major Event Management working across the world supporting the delivery of events such as the Commonwealth Games, FIFA World Cup and the delivery of iconic events such as Te Matatini and several Music Festivals.

Tia has transferred her skills and is also working in TV Production working on productions with the intent to tell our stories, Māori stories. She is currently the Production Manager for a TV series called Home, Land & Sea. A ten-part factual series that highlights the farming successes and challenges of whānau, hapū and iwi.

Tia is committed to making a significant impact in advancing the prosperity of Māori across Te Moana a Toi.
