Born and raised in Whakatane under the profile of Kapu Te Rangi, Aroha values the simplicity of life as she resonates with the language that supports our interconnected world. Her personal mission is to relate all that she loves into her professional settings.

Aroha gained an academic qualification in Environmental Management followed with a Science Degree in Biological Science at the University of Waikato. She ventured into volunteer mahi to yield hands on experience with biosecurity, kiwi monitoring, pest control, planting, track maintenance and education for environmental sustainability. The summary of her academic journey highlighted gaps in the western science, where her knowledge within Te Ao Māori supersedes her preferential direction.

Aroha’s background and experience is in customer service roles in government agencies and local Hauora. She illustrates quality connections with those around her by developing a rapport to ensure a smooth and positive encounter.

She aspires to support rangatahi to activate their desired life calling and is excited to build upon the substantial groundwork laid out in the Eastern Bay of Plenty.
